Why was my order rejected?

Usually the price moved, your limit was below the market, or your balance was short.

Overview#

Orders fill immediately or not at all — they are not left resting on the book. The common reasons an order does not go through:

"Limit not marketable" — your limit price is below what anyone is currently asking. Raise it to the quoted ask, or use the suggested price shown in the warning.
Insufficient credits — the order costs more than your balance.
The market moved between quote and confirm, and the new price no longer meets your limit.
The market has closed or is resolving.

When a limit is the problem, the trade panel shows the current ask and a one-tap button to use it.
